Description

  • Build and integrate wire harnesses for avionics systems to build-to-print and aerospace standards.
  • Assemble and maintain functional test racks and interface boxes for system-level testing and validation.
  • Interpret and execute complex work instructions, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Support high-quality builds and efficient troubleshooting by verifying hardware and test setup integrity.
  • Collaborate with engineering and leadership teams to resolve build issues and improve documentation.
  • Provide feedback and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the build and test process.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, growth-oriented approach in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Train and mentor new technicians on build procedures, safety practices, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in avionics, electronics assembly, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with harness fabrication, test rack construction, and interface box integration.
  • Skilled in using electrical hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, and multimeters.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, work instructions, and technical drawings.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to distinguish colors for accurate wire identification and termination.
  • Associate degree or higher in electronics, avionics, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience as an R&D technician on high-complexity, mission-critical hardware, preferably in aerospace.
  • Current or previous IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, or similar certification preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure aerospace environment.
