Description

  • Design and fabricate test hardware, harnessing, and test systems for electrical and RF development testing.
  • Develop modular, reusable test automation software and drivers in Linux, Python, C++, Rust, and related tools.
  • Execute development and production tests to support internal and external customer needs.
  • Lead satellite subsystem test campaigns from kickoff through test report delivery.
  • Develop data acquisition, control, and instrumentation systems for integrated-level testing.
  • Own project management for multiple test assets and acceptance testing of flight avionics, including hardware lifecycle upgrades.
  • Design device simulators for component, subsystem, and hardware-in-the-loop testbeds.
  • Collaborate with Electrical and RF Engineering teams to define requirements, validation methods, and test schedules.
  • Validate prototype designs and help define test requirements for flight hardware delivery and vehicle integration.
  • Lead root cause investigations and production improvements to improve reliability and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, or another relevant engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with test hardware design and software management.
  • Strong programming ability in Python, C++, and Rust.
  • Experience with RF test equipment such as vector network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience with data acquisition, controls, and dedicated test equipment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with SMC-S-016 or MIL-STD-810 testing methods, including vibration, shock, and thermal testing (preferred).
  • Experience with software-defined radio hardware development, including high-speed RF data converters, clock trees, and data converter interfaces (preferred).
  • Experience calibrating RF equipment, performing dataflow testing, and conducting radiated end-to-end validation (preferred).
  • Experience with serial and Ethernet communications (preferred).
  • Understanding of failure modes of electrical systems in space environments (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to own electrical hardware test systems within an integrated engineering team (preferred).
  • Ability to work through schedule, resource, and technical constraints in a fast-paced environment (preferred).
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license due to ITAR requirements.
