Description

  • Design instrumentation and control systems for data center projects from conceptual design through detailed site design and retrofits.
  • Lead the selection and specification of process instrumentation, PLCs, HMI equipment, and DDC controls.
  • Develop and approve BMS sequences of operations.
  • Manage assigned BMS design tasks, including scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Perform technical review and approval of instrumentation and control system deliverables.
  • Review submittals, conduct field inspections, and verify compliance with design intent.
  • Resolve complex technical problems within the engineering discipline.
  • Act as a technical lead, supervisor, and resource to the design team.
  • Train, mentor, and support staff education and professional development.
  • Participate in RFP response development, including technical content and pricing support.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience designing BMS or control systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions.
  • Ability to independently resolve complex problems within the engineering discipline.
  • Experience acting as a technical resource or supervisor to design teams.
  • Attention to detail, quality, and system reliability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
  • Willingness to participate in the engineering and professional community through seminars, conferences, and publications.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed, roughly 15-35%.
