Description

  • Architect and maintain production-grade machine learning pipelines and infrastructure for program-wide CBM+ initiatives.
  • Oversee end-to-end data collection, processing, and sustainment of robust ETL pipelines.
  • Drive MLOps practices for automated model deployment, versioning, and monitoring.
  • Partner with data scientists to transition models from experimentation into production environments.
  • Clean, preprocess, and manage large-scale datasets for predictive modeling.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical visualization to identify trends and correlations.
  • Improve system performance, scalability, and computational efficiency.
  • Monitor deployed models for performance drift and degradation and implement retraining strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate within a cross-functional Agile team to align technical work with mission objectives.

Requirements

  • US citizenship and an active Secret U.S. government clearance are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • 4 years of professional experience in machine learning or data science with production-grade deployments.
  • Experience with Databricks, PySpark, and SQL for large-scale data manipulation.
  • Experience with MLOps practices, including model engineering, orchestration, and monitoring.
  • Applied natural language processing experience, including data labeling and entity/keyword extraction.
  • Strong understanding of statistical distributions and their use in predictive data modeling.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel as needed to engage with government customers and stakeholders.
  • Master’s degree in a STEM field, ideally Data Science or Artificial Intelligence, is preferred.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance or industrial logistics AI/ML applications is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with sensor-based failure prediction and time-series modeling is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulations and confidence level calculations for predictive forecasting is preferred.
  • Experience in DoD data environments such as Advana or Jupiter is preferred.
  • Contributions to open-source ML projects or experience with Git-based collaboration is preferred.
