Description

  • Design and implement content discovery algorithms that deliver highly personalized user experiences.
  • Drive the vision and technical direction for Reddit's Notifications Relevance team.
  • Improve candidate retrieval, ranking models, and budgeting optimization for notifications recommendations.
  • Design and test new pipeline components and deploy ML models at scale.
  • Integrate LLMs and generative AI into recommendation and notification systems.
  • Own robust monitoring and smooth product integration for ML systems.
  • Serve as the primary ML domain expert and guide architectural decisions across engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with ML, Product, Infrastructure, and Data Science teams to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Advance Reddit's growth through improved notification relevance and content discovery.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of industry experience with deep expertise in large-scale recommendation systems; notifications experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities, define roadmaps, and drive scalable improvements in notifications relevance.
  • Strong experience building and deploying large-scale ML models using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience working with LLMs in production and using generative AI to augment recommendation systems.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming, including Python and Golang.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art model architectures is a big plus.
  • Experience building production Agentic AI frameworks is a big plus.
  • Ability to drive architectural decisions and own technical strategy for high-impact ML systems.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $230,000 to $322,000 USD.
  • Eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units, with possible commission depending on the position offered.
