Description

  • Define the automation operating model, including intake, prioritization, governance, support, and lifecycle management.
  • Set architectural direction for complex automation initiatives and establish reusable components, templates, libraries, and reference architectures.
  • Translate business objectives into scalable, secure automation solutions and act as a bridge between technology and business stakeholders.
  • Define observability, auditability, incident management, and support standards for critical automations.
  • Establish AI governance and LLMOps practices, including prompt management, evaluation, hallucination mitigation, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Design and govern workflow automation, RPA, API, and AI orchestration approaches across tools and platforms.
  • Embed compliance, privacy, segregation of duties, approval flows, and audit controls into automation design.
  • Remain hands-on with complex implementations, architectural decisions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Mentor the team and raise technical capability through standards, enablement, and leadership by example.
  • Collaborate with product, process, and business leaders to define roadmaps and evaluate trade-offs for automation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Academic background in computer science, engineering, or software development.
  • Strong Python expertise, including production-grade development, architectural review, and team-level pattern definition.
  • Experience defining architecture, governance, scalability, monitoring, and operational standards for n8n or similar workflow automation platforms.
  • Experience designing production-grade AI workflows and agents with tools such as Langflow, LangGraph, CrewAI, or Semantic Kernel, including RAG and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Ability to define API contracts, integration patterns, and API governance for automation solutions.
  • Advanced AWS knowledge for automation architecture at scale, including cost, resilience, and compliance considerations.
  • Experience governing RPA tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or Power Automate and deciding when to use RPA versus APIs, workflows, scripts, or AI tools.
  • Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes-based deployment models and when to use scripts, serverless functions, containers, workflows, or platform services.
  • Advanced security knowledge, including development security practices and information management.
  • Practical experience applying AI frameworks in production projects.
  • FinOps mindset that weighs cost, efficiency, and operational impact in architectural decisions.
  • Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot, with emphasis on code quality, testing, documentation, and security.
  • Strategic, executive-level communication skills with the ability to present ROI, risks, and trade-offs to leadership.
  • High mentorship and people-development capability, with leadership-by-example qualities.
  • Experience applying automation in enterprise or back-office environments across functions such as Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, Risk, or Internal Operations.
  • Desirable familiarity with financial domains such as lending, payments, credit cards, open finance, fraud prevention, merchant acquiring, or investment services.
  • Valuable experience translating compliance requirements such as KYC/AML, PCI-DSS, or GDPR into resilient systems.
