Description

  • Lead the hands-on technical execution of the SAP and Corporate Systems roadmap in partnership with the Product Owner.
  • Own end-to-end technical governance for the SAP S/4HANA landscape, including upgrades, support packs, kernel updates, refreshes, and environment strategy.
  • Define and implement the operating model for demand intake, prioritization, support, escalation, documentation, and lifecycle management.
  • Establish operational health indicators and monitoring practices for SAP and Corporate Systems.
  • Design integration patterns across SAP and the broader corporate ecosystem with an API-first, secure, auditable approach.
  • Adapt the SAP platform to fiscal, legal, and regulatory changes impacting Brazil and LATAM, including SAP Notes adoption and baseline alignment.
  • Oversee SAP HANA administration practices, including replication, backup and recovery, performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident response.
  • Govern transports and change management across DEV, QAS, and PRD using STMS and ChaRM or SAP Cloud ALM.
  • Define and enforce SAP security baselines, including user lifecycle, segregation of duties, SSO, audit logs, and certificate management.
  • Establish master data governance for critical SAP objects and act as Tier 3 escalation for complex production incidents.
  • Run technical rituals such as design sessions, change advisory boards, post-mortems, patch planning, and technical debt grooming.
  • Review solution designs, estimates, configurations, transports, integrations, security impacts, documentation, and production readiness for internal teams and external partners.
  • Promote responsible use of AI-assisted tools for scripting, log analysis, runbook generation, and documentation.
  • Collaborate across engineering, security, infrastructure, specialists, and external partners to ensure aligned delivery and durable technical decisions.
  • Mentor, recruit, and support the development of team members while contributing to continuous improvement and team goals.

Requirements

  • Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical experience in SAP Basis / SAP platform operations.
  • Experience acting as the internal technical authority for SAP implementation partners or managed service providers.
  • Strong understanding of SAP clean-core principles, extensibility patterns, and API-first integration.
  • Hands-on experience operating or governing productive SAP S/4HANA landscapes, including SUM-based upgrades, support packages, kernel updates, SAP Notes, system refreshes, and production support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP HANA operations, including system replication, backup and recovery, backup validation, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with SAP transport and change governance using STMS and ChaRM / Solution Manager 7.2 or SAP Cloud ALM.
  • Functional understanding of SAP FI and CO at minimum, including Universal Journal, Business Partner, tax determination, account determination, financial postings, and integration points.
  • Working knowledge of SAP platform security, including technical users, SSO, certificates, audit logs, role transport controls, and SoD-related controls.
  • Working knowledge of Linux administration, preferably SUSE or RHEL, and scripting experience with shell, Python, or equivalent languages.
  • Experience operating or governing SAP landscapes on cloud or managed SAP platforms such as RISE with SAP and/or AWS.
  • Experience leading technical squads or technical workstreams in fast-paced environments, including roadmap execution, architecture and configuration reviews, partner delivery reviews, and mentorship.
  • Practical experience in regulated or high-volume environments such as fintech, banking, payments, retail, or e-commerce, with exposure to BACEN, LGPD, SOX, and Brazilian fiscal complexity.
  • Experience coordinating SAP adaptations to fiscal, legal, and regulatory changes, including SAP Notes adoption, version baseline alignment, master data impacts, and regression support.
  • Experience with SAP BTP, Cloud Connector, and SAP Integration Suite is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with BW/4HANA, gCTS, abapGit, CI/CD for SAP assets, or SAP integrations with tax engines is desirable.
  • Practical experience applying AI-assisted tools for scripting, documentation, log analysis, coding, runbook generation, or operational knowledge management is desirable.
  • Familiarity with corporate systems such as HRIS, Legal Tech, GRC, Procurement, Finance, Compliance, and workflow automation platforms is desirable.
  • Familiarity with localized banking systems in Brazil is a nice-to-have.
  • FinOps and cloud-cost awareness for SAP workloads on S/4HANA Cloud, RISE with SAP, or AWS is a strong plus.
  • SAP certifications in S/4HANA Technology, SAP HANA Technology, SAP NetWeaver Technology, SAP BTP, or SAP Integration Suite are desirable.
  • Fluent Portuguese and advanced Spanish and English are required.
