Description

  • Perform successful installations at new and existing customer sites.
  • Complete regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on time.
  • Provide dependable emergency repair service in line with warranty or service contract requirements.
  • Complete service reports, expense reports, SFDC requirements, and other paperwork within departmental goals.
  • Complete required training on time to meet quality requirements.
  • Develop working knowledge of industry practices and company policies.
  • Support the new instrument sales process by performing site inspections.
  • Make technical decisions at customer sites and escalate issues to management or senior field engineers when needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a field engineer is required.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of a technical degree or equivalent military experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working with mechanical systems with pneumatic and servo-controlled mechanisms.
  • Experience working directly on software-controlled instruments.
  • Demonstrated experience in ISO or GMP controlled environments in the life science field.
  • Knowledge of computer networking.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret scientifically written documentation, including organizational, instrument, customer, and regulatory procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and critical thinking skills for technical decision making.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel, and professional email etiquette.
