Description

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans for a portfolio of concurrent client engagements.
  • Align clients and internal teams on milestones, timelines, priorities, dependencies, and risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to remove obstacles and keep deliverables on track.
  • Lead client workshops to capture requirements and define action plans.
  • Manage scope discussions and negotiate change orders when work falls outside the original scope.
  • Communicate formal weekly status updates to client and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication with steering teams, executive committees, and post-event review sessions.
  • Provide change management support for first-year event clients and coordinate necessary training.
  • Monitor project financial performance and ensure project artifacts are captured and maintained.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of project management experience with complex, multi-stakeholder projects and long implementation cycles.
  • Experience managing software implementations.
  • Experience in a client-facing project management role with direct scope, timeline, and expectation management conversations.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or client engagements simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with project management tools; Jira experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong ownership and consistent follow-through.
  • Highly detail-oriented with proven ability to document systems and processes.
  • Events industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience taking over projects mid-lifecycle and building trust in inherited engagements is preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to stay solution-oriented, patient, and persistent in the face of challenges.
  • Ability to organize ambiguous situations into concrete deliverables and clear next steps.
