Description

  • Partner with program managers, domain experts, and end users to gather and clarify business and functional data requirements.
  • Document requirements, data definitions, business rules, user stories, and acceptance criteria for technical teams.
  • Review and refine requirements as priorities and feedback change.
  • Analyze existing data workflows and business processes to identify inefficiencies, delays, and manual workarounds.
  • Help shape process improvements that streamline operations and improve data availability and usability.
  • Analyze integrated datasets to produce insights that support operational and leadership decisions.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau or Qlik.
  • Write and validate SQL queries for analysis, reporting logic, and data verification.
  • Validate data outputs with technical and QA teams to ensure they meet business expectations.
  • Create and maintain documentation such as requirements specifications, data dictionaries, and report user guides.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Experience in data analysis, business analysis, or analytics roles within complex or regulated environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills.
  • Solid SQL experience for querying, validating, and analyzing data.
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau, Qlik, or comparable BI tools.
  • Ability to explain data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with healthcare or federal data environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards or models such as HL7/FHIR or OMOP preferred.
  • Experience using Excel and/or Python (pandas) for deeper or ad hoc analysis preferred.
  • Understanding of data privacy and compliance considerations in regulated settings preferred.
