Description

  • Design, develop, and scale centralized authentication and authorization platforms.
  • Solve complex engineering problems with a focus on scale, resilience, fault tolerance, and low latency.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and security stakeholders to define secure communication patterns.
  • Own the full software development lifecycle for IAM products, from definition through maintenance.
  • Participate in design and code reviews and mentor other software engineers.
  • Handle incidents, troubleshoot and debug production issues, and create post-mortems.
  • Monitor the health and performance of authentication services and take preventive actions.

Requirements

  • Experience with authentication and authorization concepts, protocols, and standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, JWT, and RBAC/ABAC.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.
  • Experience designing scalable software architecture and secure RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Agile development practices and solid engineering fundamentals, including version control, testing, deployment automation, and design documentation.
  • Strong understanding of database design and evolution.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and performance tracking tools and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English.
  • Preferred experience designing or migrating centralized Identity Providers or fine-grained authorization systems such as Zanzibar-based models or OPA.
  • Preferred experience with AWS, GCP, native IAM/security services, Workload Identity, mTLS, SPIFFE/SPIRE, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD security checks.
