Description

  • Lead the technical vision and delivery of high-performance APIs and web experiences using Ruby on Rails and React.
  • Build and improve scalable backend services and responsive client-side applications.
  • Contribute to software development, testing, and engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver high-impact features.
  • Balance user experience, performance, maintainability, and code complexity.
  • Support platform reliability through an on-call rotation.
  • Protect user data through security, privacy, and ethical technology practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience building and shipping scalable full-stack web applications.
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, modern UI patterns, web performance, and responsiveness.
  • Strong backend experience designing APIs using GraphQL or REST and efficient data-fetching models.
  • Proficiency writing SQL for relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as RSpec, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD and deployment pipelines, including GitHub Actions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an iterative Agile environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including explaining technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • U.S. work authorization without current or future sponsorship; preferred experience includes complex project leadership, Ruby on Rails, large-scale frontend architecture, AI coding tools, or healthcare integrations.
