Description

  • Lead and develop pharmacists, nurses, Pharmacy Leads, and support staff through hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Establish and maintain pharmacy onboarding, training, competency, quality, and development standards.
  • Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation, service levels, productivity targets, and daily clinical workloads.
  • Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for the Pharmacy program, including performance and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex clinical, operational, client, and member issues.
  • Build client relationships and collaborate with TPAs, PBMs, vendors, Client Executives, and internal leadership to address plan and member needs.
  • Support client implementations, meetings, site visits, advocacy reviews, and clinical audits as the pharmacy clinical representative.
  • Provide clinical consultation to specialty teams, Pod Leadership, and Client Engagement Group teams on escalated cases.
  • Communicate workflow expectations, performance metrics, client expectations, and member satisfaction insights across the department.
  • Ensure high-quality, compliant pharmacy services and member and provider support.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • Active, unrestricted, unencumbered pharmacist license in good standing; RN or another independently licensed clinician authorized to conduct clinical assessments may also qualify.
  • Maintain a multistate license where applicable or obtain and maintain additional state licenses as needed within 90 days of hire.
  • At least 5 years of pharmacy experience.
  • At least 3 years of pharmacy leadership, management, or supervisory experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing a pharmacy team (preferred).
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing clinical professionals in a healthcare environment (preferred).
  • Expertise in managed care, specialty pharmacy, utilization management, PBM operations, analytics and reporting, performance coaching, and client relationship management.
  • Strong leadership, workforce planning, organizational, communication, presentation, and operational performance-analysis skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States permanently without current or future sponsorship.
