Founded 2020

Description

  • Own the Requoting product area strategy and translate it into hypotheses tied to client retention metrics.
  • Drive 0-to-1 product development for the US Requoting launch and scale the Canadian product for a growing customer base.
  • Design and run discovery and validation programs with brokers to uncover root problems and test prototypes before engineering commitment.
  • Define solution approaches for ambiguous insurance requoting workflows and make scope tradeoffs that optimize for outcome learning.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, implementation, customer success, marketing, and enablement to ship value in consistent cycles.
  • Influence product direction using data and outcome-based arguments while creating transparency around priorities, tradeoffs, and progress.
  • Own product area metrics and design measurement frameworks that connect feature usage to retention and efficiency outcomes.
  • Iterate on US go-to-market execution based on market feedback and adjust positioning and customer communications as needed.
  • Maintain a rolling roadmap and 30-day shipping cycles with continuous learning loops.
  • Work with implementation to account for broker onboarding complexity and BMS integration requirements.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of product management experience with a proven track record of driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience owning a product area end-to-end, including discovery, execution, and outcome accountability.
  • Demonstrated experience launching 0-to-1 products or scaling early-stage products with ambiguous requirements and limited historical data.
  • Strong customer research and discovery skills, with the ability to uncover root problems rather than surface requests.
  • Ability to define and prioritize work based on outcome hypotheses rather than feature requests.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Comfort with data analysis and building measurement frameworks that connect product changes to business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to create transparency for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and making decisions with imperfect information.
  • Comfort using AI-first prototyping tools and workflows such as Replit, Lovable, Make, and Claude Code.
  • Experience in insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries with complex B2B workflows is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-market products such as US/Canada is preferred.
  • Familiarity with broker management systems or insurance agency operations is preferred.
  • Previous experience at high-growth, venture-backed companies is preferred.
  • Candidates without insurance experience should expect a 3-6 month domain learning curve.
  • For the right candidate, remote work within the US or Canada is available, with quarterly travel to Vancouver.
  • Vancouver-based candidates are strongly preferred and should be able to work from the Olympic Village office three days per week.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $140,000-$160,000 CAD for Vancouver-based candidates, with location-adjusted compensation for US-based candidates.
  • Employee stock options based on experience level.
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including a Lifestyle Spending Account.
  • Four weeks of paid vacation per year.
  • Work anywhere in the world for 60 days of the year.
  • Parental leave top-ups, including 6 months for birthing parents and 8 weeks for non-birthing parents, up to $100,000 annual salary.
  • Enhanced mental health benefits through Dialogue with unlimited access to mental health practitioners at no cost.
