Description

  • Implement AWS cloud standards for infrastructure, networking, and software components with an emphasis on security, speed, and cost efficiency.
  • Support evaluation and adoption of new technologies to meet evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for deployment in an infrastructure-as-code environment and meet security and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain automation and deployment processes that improve developer experience and delivery efficiency.
  • Support internal IaC pattern libraries so developers can provision their own environments with self-service workflows.
  • Maintain monitoring and logging solutions that help teams assess platform performance.
  • Contribute to developer training and documentation that promotes autonomy and self-service for platform products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AWS issues related to security, performance, and scalability.
  • Support security and compliance measures to ensure AWS services meet regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for internal developer services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in AWS cloud services or developer experience tooling.
  • 3 or more years of experience working with AWS technologies, including PaaS offerings.
  • 2 or more years of experience working with distributed systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as GitLab and GitHub.
  • Experience with Go, Python, or Bash.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Experience enabling and troubleshooting containerized workloads in ECS, Docker Swarm, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience engaging with users of developer platforms to identify needs and opportunities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including contributing to code reviews and capturing tasks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong attention to detail.
  • At least one associate-level AWS certification, or willingness to provide proof within 6 months of employment.
  • Bonus: Experience with serverless technologies in AWS or GCP.
  • Bonus: Experience with multi-region deployments in AWS or GCP.
  • Bonus: Prior involvement in running developer surveys or gathering feedback to improve developer experience.

  • Salary range of $155,000 to $205,000.
