Description

Define, own, and evolve the global internal IT and security strategy aligned to business growth and M&A activity.
Lead the planning, integration, and change management of acquired businesses into the company’s technology estate.
Oversee the design, implementation, and improvement of internal IT infrastructure, including SaaS, end-user computing, collaboration, networking, and workplace technology.
Develop and maintain information security policies, governance frameworks, and operational controls to protect systems, data, and intellectual property.
Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 20000-1, ISO/IEC 42001, Cyber Essentials Plus, SOC 2, and data privacy requirements, while leading audits, risk assessments, and remediation.
Lead consolidation of legacy certifications into a single group-wide Integrated Management System while maintaining standalone public-sector certification where required.
Own the global IT operating budget, vendor relationships, and technology procurement.
Lead business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response planning and testing.
Provide leadership for global IT operations and service delivery across multiple international locations.
Own Data Transfer Agreements and Role-Based Access Control across delivery centres, and act as technical authority for customer security and compliance due diligence responses.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, architectural standards, and operational procedures.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance security, productivity, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

Demonstrable experience leading global IT functions in a complex, multi-site, or international organisation.
Proven success developing and delivering organisation-wide IT strategies that support growth and operational excellence.
Demonstrable experience leading information security programmes, governance frameworks, and security incident response.
Demonstrated ability to build resilient, well-documented functions that are not dependent on a single individual.
Extensive experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure, including SaaS platforms, end-user computing, collaboration technologies, networking, and modern workplace services.
Demonstrable experience delivering complex technology transformation programmes, including mergers, acquisitions, or organisational integrations.
Strong understanding of information security standards and regulatory compliance, including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and GDPR.
Experience managing enterprise technology vendors, outsourced service providers, and significant operational and capital budgets.
Proven ability to lead geographically distributed technical teams across multiple locations and cultures.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
Strong strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and decision-making capability.
Experience working in a cloud-first environment, ideally with Google Cloud technologies.
Familiarity with Google Workspace administration and enterprise collaboration platforms.
Experience supporting private equity-backed organisations or businesses undergoing rapid growth and transformation.
Exposure to AI-enabled workplace technologies and automation initiatives.
Professional certifications in IT service management, cybersecurity, or enterprise architecture.
