Description

  • Lead a team responsible for the systems that power repayment, payments, delinquency management, and collections.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact initiatives that improve repayment rates, reduce delinquency, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Product, Risk, Operations, and Compliance to build scalable, reliable, and compliant servicing and collections systems.
  • Evolve the servicing platform with senior engineers by simplifying the architecture and scaling toward modular, reliable, and observable systems.
  • Ensure mission-critical system reliability with attention to uptime, data integrity, and incident readiness.
  • Use AI to accelerate engineering and product velocity while exercising strong judgment in regulated environments.
  • Mentor engineers, raise the technical bar, and unblock teams when needed.
  • Support the development of smarter collections capabilities and high-quality self-service customer experiences.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading teams.
  • Strong full-stack foundation with the ability to dive into code, debug, and guide architectural decisions.
  • Experience building or operating high-stakes systems such as payments, servicing, or billing, with a focus on reliability and data integrity.
  • Proven ability to scale systems and teams in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing engineers.
  • Experience in fintech or other regulated industries is preferred.
  • Familiarity with servicing and collections metrics such as delinquency, recovery, and cost to collect is preferred.
  • Experience building internal tools or platforms for operations teams is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI to improve workflows or operational efficiency is preferred.
  • Role is based in the US.

  • Salary range of $244,300 to $293,160 USD.
