Description

  • Design, install, and maintain development, testing, and production cloud environments.
  • Create monitoring tools and dashboards to track system health, trends, and anomalies.
  • Participate in on-call escalation to troubleshoot customer-facing cloud environment issues.
  • Develop and maintain cloud architecture using Infrastructure as Code principles.
  • Automate code builds and deployments using DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD practices.
  • Install, configure, and support Oracle and MS SQL Enterprise database systems and infrastructure.
  • Establish and manage operational and security policies to reduce risk in cloud-hosted environments.
  • Manage application, middleware, and infrastructure updates to maintain security compliance and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with development teams to provision scalable and reliable cloud-based applications.
  • Mentor and train IT Operations personnel on cloud provisioning and best practices.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience designing, building, and administering internet-based full-stack commercial applications.
  • Extensive experience managing data-centric, web-based applications.
  • Experience with container and orchestration technologies; Docker and Kubernetes preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with CloudFormation or Terraform templates.
  • Practical experience with cross-platform scripting and automation.
  • Experience managing and optimizing cloud-based environments, primarily AWS.
  • Proficiency with Jenkins and continuous integration.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Chef.
  • Experience with Atlassian products including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, or similar experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to manage time, multiple priorities, and standard operating procedure documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with varied technical levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of experience.
