Description

  • Research, compile, and evaluate information used to develop and maintain large, complex systems and processes.
  • Design systems and support processes that meet customer requirements and integrate with existing systems.
  • Construct, modify, and test large, complex system changes.
  • Diagnose, resolve, and implement solutions for production issues and other complex software problems in a timely manner.
  • Provide production support, including prompt incident response and nighttime support when required.
  • Document programming changes, enhancements, and technical solutions thoroughly and completely.
  • Communicate with customers and internal partners to understand business needs, anticipate issues, and provide quality support.
  • Perform project management duties for the technical aspects of large, complex projects as needed.
  • Manage individual project tasks to ensure delivery according to project plans.
  • Provide leadership, feedback, and knowledge sharing to peers, support teams, and management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Extensive experience with COBOL, VSAM, Oracle, Unix, XML, Java, and Web Services development preferred.
  • Knowledge of LIDP’s The Administrator (ADMI) and/or Titanium systems preferred.
  • AI experience in a development environment preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Familiarity with annuity and VUL products preferred, including accounting, claims, and finance experience.
  • Strong technical analysis, design, programming, and testing skills.
  • Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, accountable, and able to work independently.
