Description

  • Lead design, development, and maintenance of Proof and Notarize mobile applications and SDKs for Android and iOS.
  • Drive all phases of mobile application development from ideation through release, and track and analyze the impact of shipped features.
  • Deliver greenfield mobile functionality and contribute to foundational architectural decisions for mobile platforms.
  • Provide technical leadership on mobile architecture, standards, and best practices across teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, developers, QA engineers, and product managers to shape solutions and unblock delivery.
  • Work with existing and new vendors providing components, SDKs, and APIs that enable Proof mobile applications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in mobile automation, unit tests, CI/CD, and overall app reliability.
  • Triage bugs, track software defects, and ensure their timely resolution.
  • Own code end-to-end from technical design through production deployment and ongoing iteration.

Requirements

  • Advanced expertise in Android and iOS application and SDK development (Kotlin and Swift).
  • Experience working across both established production mobile apps and greenfield, 0→1 proofs-of-concept.
  • Deep knowledge of mobile app lifecycle, app store deployment, and distribution processes.
  • Familiarity with mobile frameworks used at Proof (Jetpack Compose and XML layouts for Android; SwiftUI and UIKit for iOS) and GraphQL integration with back-end services.
  • Experience with mobile CI/CD, automation, unit testing, and improving app reliability.
  • Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous problem spaces and own complex mobile engineering problems end-to-end with a bias toward action.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize consumer-facing mobile applications.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills with the ability to partner effectively across the business.
  • Experience or interest in NFC, applied cryptography (PKI), wallets, or digital identity is a plus.
  • Comfort integrating with backend systems and infrastructure (Proof’s stack includes Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Redis, AWS).

  • Salary range $200,000–$270,000 per year (US) with total compensation including base pay, benefits, and equity.
