Description

  • Build and maintain data pipelines that power analytics, machine learning workloads, and product-facing applications.
  • Evolve the data platform with cloud platform engineers using infrastructure-as-code and Kubernetes-based deployments.
  • Design and implement scalable data infrastructure to support growing data volume and complexity.
  • Develop data services and APIs that expose trusted data to product applications.
  • Own data quality and observability through monitoring, testing, and alerting.
  • Partner with AI engineers, data scientists, analysts, and product teams to design effective data solutions.
  • Uphold data privacy, security, and compliance practices across all data systems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data flows, models, and systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex data issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Contribute independently on medium-sized features while supporting team objectives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade data systems.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Proficiency in Python or another object-oriented language such as Java or Scala.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure and comfort working in cloud-native environments.
  • Exposure to Terraform, Kubernetes, or similar infrastructure-as-code and container orchestration tools.
  • Experience designing data APIs or services, or a strong interest in working across analytical and operational systems.
  • Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools such as Airflow and dbt.
  • Strong focus on data quality, privacy, and security.
  • Strong collaboration skills for working across engineering, data science, AI, and product teams.
  • Pragmatic, curious mindset with a desire to keep up with data engineering practices and technologies.
