Description

  • Manage and execute reimbursement strategies to facilitate patient access to Aquablation therapy and mitigate reimbursement barriers for providers.
  • Educate and train hospitals and physician practices on coding, coverage, payment, patient authorization rules, regulations, and processes.
  • Organize and lead reimbursement education meetings and ongoing reimbursement support for existing and new customers.
  • Serve as the primary reimbursement resource for hospital and practice customers and for field sales teams in the assigned geography.
  • Collaborate closely with clinicians, hospital administrators, internal sales, and marketing to align field operations with strategic market access goals.
  • Work directly with Aquablation patients to assess insurance coverage, support payer appeals, and navigate authorization processes.
  • Solicit, analyze, present, and discuss customer financial data as part of periodic customer business reviews and local market assessments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of medical device reimbursement and/or health economics experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with US private payers and Medicare coverage and payment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to present to and persuade physicians, physician offices, hospital administrators, and key opinion leaders.
  • High interpersonal skills including influencing, conflict resolution, and creative problem solving.
  • Previous experience working closely and collaboratively with field sales teams.
  • Comfortable working virtually with flexible workplace arrangements and business virtual technologies.
  • Ability to manage complex problems and projects independently using analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • This is a field-based position requiring the ability to travel up to 60% and proximity to a major airport is preferred; US work authorization (citizen or permanent resident) required.
