Description

  • Own, prioritize, deliver, maintain, and continuously improve maps, reusable layers, dashboards, analyses, and other geospatial data assets.
  • Act as the product manager and implementer for the team’s GIS data offerings.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for GIS data and support business stakeholders with insights and decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for impact, contribute to business strategy, and surface geospatial insights proactively.
  • Create and maintain data documentation, communicate updates to stakeholders, and ensure data transparency.
  • Write user stories or tickets for data engineering, conduct QA, and implement data quality monitoring.
  • Monitor the usage of data assets, improve data literacy, and promote self-service adoption.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to stakeholders on GIS data and tools.
  • Collaborate within a centralized data team using agile methodologies and support peer analysts through collaboration and code reviews.
  • Partner with data engineers, scientists, and analysts to shape the data platform roadmap and define/track annual OKRs.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience as a Geospatial Data Analyst supporting business stakeholders and collaborating with data engineers.
  • Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS, Prospect, Paces, or similar GIS tools.
  • Experience with SQL and BI tools is a plus.
  • Experience in the energy or construction industry is a plus.
  • Strong track record of independently solving complex problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate information, ideas, and insights effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Proven initiative in improving processes, products, or services with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to ask the right questions, identify root causes, and develop creative, data-driven solutions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Eagerness to understand business operations and apply that knowledge to support informed decision-making.
