Description

  • Design, build, and operate reliable, scalable production systems.
  • Define, monitor, and improve service-level objectives and indicators (SLOs/SLIs).
  • Collaborate with software engineers on system design and reliability improvements.
  • Develop infrastructure and operational automation to reduce manual work and MTTR.
  • Participate in and lead incident response and blameless post-incident reviews.
  • Implement post-incident follow-up actions through code and tooling.
  • Analyze and optimize system performance and infrastructure costs.
  • Provide data and recommendations to support capacity planning.
  • Remediate vulnerabilities and mitigate threats to support security best practices.
  • Engage stakeholders, share learnings, and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

  • Hands-on production experience with Site Reliability Engineering practices.
  • Strong AWS, Kubernetes, networking, DNS, and Infrastructure as Code expertise; Pulumi preferred and Terraform is a plus.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals focused on code quality and maintainability.
  • Proficiency in Python and its testing, debugging, and packaging ecosystem.
  • Experience leading incident response and root-cause analyses.
  • Ability to improve system reliability and communicate proposed solutions to stakeholders.
  • Experience in regulated industries, sensitive-data environments, or secure networking setups, including Cloudflare exposure (preferred).
  • Understanding of microservices and distributed systems, including RabbitMQ, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Redis (preferred).
  • Experience using Datadog for platform and application monitoring and performance optimization (preferred).
  • Experience with PySpark and familiarity with MLOps practices such as model registries, versioning, retraining, and deployment lifecycles (preferred).
