Description

  • Plan, program, analyze, and report R- and Excel-based cost-effectiveness simulation models.
  • Lead implementation of simulation-based cost-effectiveness analyses in R and Excel/VBA.
  • Develop economic models from scratch, including model conceptualization and analysis plans.
  • Evaluate studies, identify key result drivers and methodological gaps, and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare client-ready technical reports, model documentation, result interpretations, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Present project progress and findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with health economists, statisticians, and researchers on global projects.
  • Manage project components, timelines, and deliverables independently and within diverse teams.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in health economics, statistics, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in consulting for biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare clients.
  • Proven R programming experience, including cost-effectiveness simulation modeling.
  • Expertise in Excel and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming.
  • Experience applying statistical methods in health economics, such as survival regression extrapolation, network meta-analysis, and probabilistic sensitivity analysis.
  • Experience with health economics, HEOR, pharmaceutical reimbursement, and interpretation of clinical and economic studies.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate clearly, and share knowledge.
  • Experience with Python, C++, hesim, shiny, Rcpp, Bayesian statistics, or advanced modeling techniques is preferred.
  • Experience with indirect treatment comparisons, including network meta-analysis, matching-adjusted indirect comparison, or simulated treatment comparison, is preferred.
