Description

  • Perform medical coding of study data using MedDRA and WHODrug dictionaries with medical logic and consistency.
  • Support the coding team as a backup resource to ensure continuity and timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide backup oversight for the Coding Manager and help coordinate team priorities.
  • Perform quality control reviews of coding outputs and maintain high coding quality.
  • Track coding timelines, deadlines, status, and metric reporting for assigned studies.
  • Create, revise, version, and maintain coding-related data management documentation.
  • Conduct coding dictionary upgrade UAT and maintain quality-controlled documentation.
  • Review and query coding data in accordance with the Data Management Plan and coding standards.
  • Train clinical research personnel and data management team members on study-specific coding topics.
  • Communicate with study sponsors and project teams about coding activities, deliverables, and issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience within Data Management.
  • 5+ years of experience performing dictionary medical coding using MedDRA and WHODrug.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/science-related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage a variety of data management tasks and oversight responsibilities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong written and oral English language skills.
  • Basic knowledge of drug, device, and/or biologic development and data management practices.
  • Experience in a clinical, scientific, or healthcare discipline preferred.
  • Oncology and/or orphan drug therapeutic experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, relevant Precision Oncology SOPs, and regulatory guidance.
