Description

  • Review, draft, negotiate, and finalize a variety of agreements including master services agreements, clinical trial/site agreements, confidentiality agreements, vendor and consulting contracts, and amendments.
  • Lead interactions with Study Teams and Sponsors to resolve contractual issues and align contract terms with study requirements.
  • Track, report and manage site contract metrics and update study team members on negotiation and execution status.
  • Maintain and archive contract files and databases to ensure accurate recordkeeping and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and internal/external stakeholders to escalate and resolve contract-related problems.
  • Design and help implement policies, procedures and contracting standards to enable timely contract execution.
  • Identify process improvements in contracting workflows and take corrective action to increase efficiency.
  • Perform other assigned tasks related to contract management and study start-up support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a 4-year college degree (graduate/postgraduate) or equivalent experience, ideally in a scientific or healthcare discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating site Clinical Trial Agreements, vendor contracts and site budget negotiations.
  • Experience leading interactions with Study Teams and Sponsors and supporting study timelines.
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in law, scientific fields, business administration or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of setting up Contracting Plans and guides for CTA and budget negotiations (preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with study teams, CRAs, Start-up Associates or (S)BSCA to meet study timelines (preferred).
  • Strong organizational, written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to execute time-sensitive matters accurately, work independently and as part of a team, and exercise sound business judgment and discretion.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and common computer applications; comfort working in a virtual/remote environment.
