Description

  • Manage the site start-up process and oversee activation readiness strategy and delivery.
  • Coordinate critical path planning for IRB/EC and CA/MoH strategy, ICF customization, risk mitigation, IMP release requirements, and contract execution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align milestone planning and operational goals for timely site activation.
  • Participate in client meetings to define expectations for delivery, communication, risk management, status reporting, and metrics.
  • Partner with functional leaders and site start-up specialists to identify delivery risks and implement mitigations.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time tracking systems and progress metrics at study, country, and site levels.
  • Coordinate translations for documents required for submissions.
  • Maintain communication with feasibility, clinical operations, project management, regulatory, and site contracts teams on status and deliverables.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on site-level critical path data, local ethics timelines, contracts, budget negotiation requirements, and other start-up needs.
  • Support country- or site-level start-up activities when needed.
  • Develop country-specific start-up summaries and process flows that identify timelines, risks, and success factors.
  • Develop and facilitate training sessions and mentor staff on local study start-up regulations, submissions, internal procedures, and SSDL.
  • Support proposal activities and client presentations, including slide development as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field, or Registered Nurse (RN), or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in start-up, ideally in a Site Start-Up Lead or Project Manager role within a CRO or pharmaceutical/biotech environment, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in project milestone management, including managing resources, budgets, and team activities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience driving cross-functional activities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience using computerized information systems, electronic spreadsheets, word processing, and electronic mail.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • For non-English-speaking countries, fluency in the local language of the country where the position is based is required.
  • Experience using milestone tracking tools or systems.
