Description

  • Define enterprise expectations for requirements quality, traceability, specifications, testing, and technical governance.
  • Govern technical specifications, CRF-aligned templates, design principles, and data transfer agreements across platforms and therapeutic areas.
  • Set database architecture and delivery governance, advising on platform capabilities, interoperability, AI enablement, and technical risk.
  • Define testing standards and quality thresholds while overseeing critical validation issues, automation, and technical evidence.
  • Govern migrations, platform transitions, post-production changes, deployment risk, and technical database archival.
  • Shape integration, data-cleaning workbench strategy, data lineage, control points, operating models, and interoperability.
  • Represent Technical Data Management in governance and sponsor forums and ensure quality, compliance, documentation, and inspection readiness.
  • Lead technical strategy for complex programs, resolve high-risk challenges, and influence technology, resourcing, and investment decisions.
  • Build organizational capability through mentoring, standards development, innovation, process transformation, and succession development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent training and experience.
  • Typically 12+ years of relevant experience, including enterprise- or portfolio-level technical leadership and major improvements or transformations.
  • Expert knowledge of technical clinical data strategy, governance, compliance, inspection readiness, and industry practices.
  • Broad expertise in clinical data platforms, architecture, EDC, integrations, workbenches, data flows, standards, testing, migration, and archival.
  • Experience defining enterprise requirements, specifications, testing, quality, traceability, and technical governance expectations.
  • Ability to shape technology strategy, architecture, interoperability, library development, AI enablement, and emerging technology evaluation.
  • Exceptional judgment and enterprise thinking for unprecedented or business-critical technical challenges.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, sponsors, vendors, and internal and external governance forums.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, ethical judgment, accountability, inclusive collaboration, and client focus.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without employer sponsorship; advanced degree or recognized technical leadership credentials preferred.
