Description

  • Lead enterprise clinical data standardization, mapping, and governance initiatives.
  • Design scalable validation frameworks to identify and resolve systemic data-quality issues.
  • Build and maintain modular SAS codebases for clinical data engineering workflows, including edit checks, reconciliations, exception listings, protocol deviations, and resource projections.
  • Establish coding standards and mentor junior engineers in automation, reproducibility, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure systems and workflows comply with GCP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and global regulatory requirements.
  • Define documentation protocols and oversee audit-trail governance for inspection readiness.
  • Develop dashboards and analytics tools showing data quality, trial progress, and operational KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and data management teams to translate clinical requirements into technical solutions.
  • Design and optimize secure, high-performance relational databases and data lakes, including ETL pipelines integrating diverse clinical systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, statistics, data management, clinical operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in clinical monitoring, clinical trial management, or an equivalent area.
  • Advanced programming and automation skills, including SAS; Python, R, and SQL are preferred.
  • Experience with database design, dashboard development, and CDISC governance.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis and data monitoring tools.
  • Experience extracting relevant information from protocols, electronic study data systems, and clinical systems.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance in clinical research.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Experience with integrated risk planning and management, mentoring, CRO environments, or AI agent deployment in regulated environments is preferred.
