Description

  • Coordinate the end-to-end proposal preparation process and ensure timelines and deadlines are met.
  • Review client materials and share relevant information with the project team, senior management, and sales leads.
  • Work with the manager to identify information gaps, discrepancies, and unique service requirements and translate them into proposals and budgets.
  • Coordinate proposal kickoff strategy meetings.
  • Prepare, edit, and customize proposal text to reflect client needs and the project team’s strategic message.
  • Develop full project budgets using an Excel-based costing tool.
  • Use financial formulas to capture budget details, unique needs, and client grid mapping.
  • Communicate, review, and negotiate with partners and vendors during proposal development.
  • Develop change orders for ongoing studies, including budget development and justification.
  • Support client communication for change orders and maintain departmental records and reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 1 year of experience in proposal development in the life sciences arena.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to quickly shift priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high focus on quality.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Travel for company meetings may be required on an as-needed basis; other travel is minimal and optional.
  • Knowledge of the clinical research path from development to approval is preferred.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft 365, and Salesforce is preferred.
