Description

  • Lead designated laboratory projects from conception through close-out, including planning, execution, risk management, communication, stakeholder management, scope control, and cost control.
  • Serve as the cross-functional lead for assigned projects and monitor operational delivery against contracted timelines and budgets.
  • Create and manage project timelines, budgets, revenue goals, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of new and ongoing studies.
  • Maintain daily coordination and supervision of scheduled activities and delegate responsibilities as needed.
  • Communicate with clients, collaborators, vendors, and internal teams regarding data management, inventory control, shipping procedures, and project updates.
  • Prepare and present project information at internal and external meetings, and produce reports and correspondence.
  • Track project metrics, revenue, expenses, billing, and budget variances; escalate unexpected issues as needed.
  • Review, update, and maintain project documentation to approvable status.
  • Identify out-of-scope work, operational issues, and project risks, and help resolve or escalate them.
  • Mentor junior Project Managers and support senior staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field, such as engineering.
  • Experience as a Project Manager for Central Laboratories in a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech company.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with MS Office/MS 365 applications.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong understanding of project management and data analysis.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, research, and reporting skills.
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, approximately 10-25%.
  • Ability to work extended hours when business demands require it.
