Description

  • Lead new and existing central laboratory projects from conception through close-out.
  • Own project plans, timelines, budgets, revenue goals, forecasting, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate assay development, clinical testing, biorepository/sample management, logistics, and kitting activities.
  • Serve as the cross-functional lead and main client-facing contact for assigned studies.
  • Monitor operational delivery against contracted timelines, scope, and budget.
  • Manage daily project coordination, delegation, and supervision of scheduled activities.
  • Communicate with clients, collaborators, vendors, and internal teams on project status, data, inventory, and shipping matters.
  • Prepare, present, and report project information, metrics, and correspondence for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify out-of-scope work, assess risks, and escalate issues with action plans.
  • Review, update, and maintain project documentation and process documents, and mentor junior Project Managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field, such as engineering.
  • Experience working as a Project Manager for Central Laboratories at a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech company.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office/MS 365 applications.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong understanding of project management and data analysis.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional research, reporting, judgment, and discretion skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, approximately 10-25%.
  • Ability to work extended hours when business demands require it.
