Description

  • Lead the planning, design, development, implementation, and adoption of business operation systems that support clinical study delivery.
  • Drive system adoption through training, communication, hands-on demonstrations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead or support system implementations, including testing, training, and ongoing support for new and existing systems.
  • Gather and coordinate stakeholder requirements to define functional requirements and identify adoption barriers.
  • Resolve process and service risks that block user progress and effective delivery.
  • Develop and document system specifications for selection, operations, and configuration based on current and future business needs.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to update system configurations such as templates, reports, dashboards, and milestones.
  • Support integrations within and across business operation systems platforms, including external systems where appropriate.
  • Oversee system version releases and configuration changes, including testing, validation oversight, and UAT execution as needed.
  • Prepare system processes, procedures, best practices, and training materials for technical support and clinical teams.
  • Participate in audit and regulatory inspection preparation, including CAPA development and execution when applicable.
  • Monitor systems for opportunities to improve efficiency, end-user experience, and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent plus 8 years of relevant system and process experience.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience with clinical trial systems such as CTMS, EDC, eTMF, and RTMS.
  • Detailed understanding of requirements gathering, documentation, configuration, and integrations.
  • Knowledge of transforming business process requirements into functional requirements.
  • Experience leading teams directly or indirectly to achieve operational outcomes.
  • Experience in a Clinical Operations role handling systems.
  • Experience with change management and user adoption strategies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to resolve issues independently and escalate appropriately with good judgment.
  • Ability to communicate business needs effectively to IT technology partners.
  • Ability to lead system implementations and drive adoption.
  • Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to balance multiple stakeholder needs.
