Description

  • Lead the planning, design, development, implementation, and adoption of business operation systems for clinical study delivery.
  • Drive system adoption through training, communication, hands-on demonstrations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead or support system implementations, including testing, training, and support for new and existing systems.
  • Gather and document stakeholder requirements, functional requirements, and adoption barriers.
  • Resolve process and service risks that block user progress and effective delivery.
  • Develop specifications for system selection, operations, and configuration based on current and future user needs.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to update system configurations such as templates, reports, dashboards, and milestones.
  • Support integrations within and across systems, including connections to external systems when needed.
  • Oversee version releases and configuration changes, including testing, validation oversight, and UAT execution.
  • Participate in audit and regulatory inspection preparation, including CAPA development and execution.
  • Monitor systems for opportunities to improve efficiency and end-user experience.
  • Provide strategic insights to system leadership on system, process, role, and structure improvements.
  • Support leadership in managing system requests and roadmap updates.
  • Develop system processes, procedures, best practices, and training materials for technical support and clinical teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent plus 8 years of relevant experience with systems and processes.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience with clinical trial systems such as CTMS, EDC, eTMF, and RTMS.
  • Detailed understanding of requirements gathering, documentation, configuration, and integrations.
  • Knowledge of transforming business process requirements into functional requirements.
  • Experience leading teams directly or indirectly to achieve operational outcomes.
  • Prior experience in a Clinical Operations role handling systems.
  • Ability to communicate business needs effectively to IT technology partners.
  • Experience with change management and user adoption strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve technology problems.
  • Ability to lead system implementations and drive adoption.
  • Strong strategic thinking, change management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to resolve issues independently and escalate appropriately when needed.
  • Ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
