Description

  • Oversee site contracting and investigator/site budget processes at regional and global levels.
  • Support the review, drafting, and negotiation of agreements and financial documents, including clinical study agreements, master agreements, confidentiality agreements, ancillary agreements, and amendments.
  • Manage the development, maintenance, and global implementation of investigator/site budget templates.
  • Escalate and resolve complex issues with Legal, Finance, Grants Management, and senior leadership.
  • Line manage site contract team members and ensure consistent contracting, budgeting, and reporting standards.
  • Allocate resources for new business and ongoing studies, including forecasting and workload planning.
  • Report, analyze, and manage contract and budget-related metrics such as productivity, cycle times, and cost performance.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, contracting standards, financial governance expectations, and institutional requirements.
  • Maintain the integrity of contract, budget, and reporting data within contract management systems and databases, including archival requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase budget development efficiency, reporting accuracy, and grant alignment.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience, ideally in a scientific, healthcare, finance, or business discipline.
  • Experience in Site Contracts and investigator/site budget functions within a Clinical Research Organization (CRO).
  • Experience leading or supporting global country budget template development, including standardization of cost categories and fair market value considerations.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including understanding of budgets, cost drivers, forecasting, and financial implications of contracting and grant decisions.
  • Experience working with clinical trial contracts and budgets, as well as financial oversight and governance.
  • Experience in remote people management.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Clinical Trial Agreements and investigator/site budgets, preferred.
  • Experience managing the contract and financial lifecycle at the project and portfolio level, preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing site contracting and budget strategies, including exposure to sponsors and grant-funded studies, preferred.
  • Experience working across centralized and regional site contracting and budget models, preferred.
  • Familiarity with unit-level financial reporting and portfolio oversight, preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant systems, including investigator/site budget tools, contract databases, and reporting platforms.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays.
