Description

  • Perform flow cytometry assays and other immune-based assays in support of research projects.
  • Design experiments, analyze results accurately, and present data clearly.
  • Support assay development, validation, execution, and timely completion of workflows.
  • Improve and document procedures and SOPs, including establishing new procedures and updating existing ones.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine scientific and laboratory issues.
  • Identify and implement emerging laboratory techniques to improve laboratory capabilities.
  • Maintain safe laboratory practices and a compliant work environment.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to share resources and provide technical expertise.
  • Support operational qualifications and performance checks for new equipment.
  • Monitor project expenses related to Product and Service/R&D activities.
  • Serve as a scientific resource for internal teams and external clients.
  • Assist with writing, reviewing, and editing grant applications, proposals, papers, abstracts, and technical chapters.
  • Present completed work at scientific meetings and in publications when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in life sciences or a related field.
  • 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Expert-level flow cytometry skills using both whole blood and isolated cells.
  • Experience monitoring cell-mediated immunity through flow cytometry, ELISpot, ELISA, and MSD.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to organize and analyze data and prepare reports.
  • Strong computational skills, preferably with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism, Diva, and FlowJo.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to work extended hours occasionally to meet business demands.
  • Ability to read, write, speak fluently, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to see and differentiate colors across the full spectrum.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs. overhead with assistance and working in cold freezer environments.
  • Understanding of current GLP, CAP, CLIA, or ISO standards (preferred).
  • Experience with immunophenotyping assays such as primary cell-based assays, ELISpot, ELISA, and Mesoscale (preferred).
  • Experience with cell sorting techniques (preferred).
