Description

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and overall support to the Site Start-up team across project delivery, communication, HR, and process improvement.
  • Oversee site start-up delivery across IRB/EC/CA submissions, site contracts, budget negotiations, and other start-up requirements.
  • Partner with the Head of Site Start Up to develop the SSU framework, tools, methodology, and risk mitigation approach.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, project management, and other cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and govern SSU activities globally and regionally.
  • Lead large and complex SSU programs and manage escalations and remediation of SSU issues.
  • Optimize SSU processes and delivery to help meet or exceed budget and profitability targets.
  • Work with Global Resourcing teams to assess and manage SSU leads, specialists, and site contract staff.
  • Support career development, growth, and succession planning for the SSU team.
  • Collaborate with Business Development on proposals, budgeting, bid defense preparation, and client presentations.
  • Develop, measure, and report SSU KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in clinical research, including extensive site start-up experience.
  • Experience working for a Clinical Research Organisation (CRO).
  • Experience in people management.
  • Expert knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and the clinical development process.
  • Demonstrated leadership track record.
  • Experience working in a team environment with resource management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and clinical software such as CTMS, eTMF, and EDC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer service demeanor.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
  • Fluency in English.
