Description

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and overall support to the Site Start-Up team across project delivery, communication, resources, procedures, systems, and processes.
  • Oversee site start-up delivery through direct management and cross-functional coordination of IRB/EC, Competent Authority, site contract, and budget activities.
  • Work with the Head of Site Start Up to define and evolve the SSU framework, including tools, methodology, intelligence, and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, project management, and other functions to plan, execute, and govern SSU activities globally and regionally.
  • Support corporate and departmental business strategies and act as an ambassador for change management during organizational growth.
  • Lead SSU programs, including large and highly complex programs, and manage escalations and remediation of SSU issues.
  • Optimize SSU processes and delivery to help achieve profitability and budget targets.
  • Partner with Global Resourcing to assess and manage team members and ensure cost, time, and quality goals are met.
  • Support career development, growth, succession planning, client meetings, presentations, proposals, budgeting, and bid defense preparation.
  • Develop, measure, and report SSU KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum 12 years of clinical research experience, including extensive site start-up experience.
  • Experience working for a Clinical Research Organization (CRO).
  • People management experience.
  • Expert knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and the clinical development process.
  • Demonstrated leadership track record.
  • Experience working in a team environment with resource management responsibility.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and clinical software such as CTMS, eTMF, and EDC.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
  • Fluency in English.
