Description

  • Serve as the primary client lead from proposal acceptance through ongoing account management.
  • Maintain and grow business opportunities within existing client accounts.
  • Develop client agendas, slide presentations, project briefs, and scopes of work.
  • Lead client and expert calls to guide content direction and project decisions.
  • Prepare and distribute status reports and contact reports after client interactions.
  • Direct the project management team to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on project plans, objectives, milestones, deliverables, and budget tools.
  • Lead internal teams, mentor junior account staff, and support performance reviews and development planning.
  • Support business development by identifying market opportunities and organic growth within assigned accounts.
  • Develop proposals, budgets, reconciliations, and budget status updates while monitoring direct costs and labor hours.
  • Ensure compliance with PhRMA, FDA, OIG, and ACCME guidelines and maintain quality control of client materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an account role within a pharmaceutical or medical communications company.
  • Daily client-facing experience is required.
  • Medical, legal, and regulatory review experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel 10-15% depending on client needs.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising account team members is preferred.
  • Experience managing proposals, budgets, and reconciliations is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, detail orientation, customer focus, flexibility, forward thinking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Chicago-area travel may be limited to the Chicago suburban area.
