Description

  • Manage application deployments using Helm charts and the Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • Deploy and maintain infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.
  • Track infrastructure health, performance, and availability with observability and monitoring tools.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and resolve operational issues tied to service level objectives.
  • Maintain supporting infrastructure and tooling for PracticeTek development teams.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Work with internal and external customers to resolve requests with urgency.
  • Contribute to the reliability and scalability of production workloads across multiple systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer.
  • Experience running and operating production workloads in Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
  • Experience running workloads on AWS and common cloud-native application patterns.
  • Strong background with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience with database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages and basic concepts in Shell or Python.
  • Ability to reason about large systems, including edge cases, failure modes, and large-scale behavior.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Drive to learn and incorporate feedback from peers.

  • Base salary expected between $100,000 and $139,000.
