Description

  • Own end-to-end US tax compliance, including sales tax, payroll tax, corporate income tax, nexus assessment, and taxability determinations.
  • Lead implementation and ongoing management of tax compliance software integrated with NetSuite.
  • Build and maintain the US Tax Nexus Compliance Framework, including economic nexus assessments, threshold monitoring, and registration and filing obligations.
  • Support transfer pricing model implementation and document intercompany transfer pricing policies.
  • Prepare and file VAT, sales tax, and GST returns.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external tax advisors and auditors on US and international tax matters.
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740, including current and deferred tax expense calculations.
  • Maintain deferred tax roll-forward schedules and evaluate temporary differences, DTAs, DTLs, and valuation allowances.
  • Coordinate with external auditors on tax provision workpapers, supporting schedules, and tax footnotes.
  • Oversee operational accounting for assigned entities, including billing, general ledger, payroll, AP, AR, and revenue recognition in NetSuite.
  • Maintain general ledger reconciliations for balance sheet accounts with proper documentation.
  • Deliver financial reporting, analysis, and commentary for assigned entities and support consolidation and monthly group reporting.
  • Support annual financial statements and statutory audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation; CPA strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in US tax and accounting roles.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with NetSuite.
  • Experience with tax compliance software such as Avalara, Vertex, or an equivalent tool.
  • Experience working with external tax advisors on US and international tax matters.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and hands-on experience with ASC 740 income tax accounting.
  • Prior experience at a SaaS, software, or technology company with multi-entity structures.
  • Experience with transfer pricing documentation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Stripe, Chargebee, or similar SaaS billing and revenue recognition tools is preferred.
  • Experience with tax provision software such as ONESOURCE Tax Provision, Bloomberg Tax Provision, Longview, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional tax provisions in an acquisition-heavy environment is preferred.
  • Independent, structured, solution-oriented, and analytical working style.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet financial deadlines in a fast-paced remote environment.
  • Strong English communication skills.
