Description

  • Drive continuous customer discovery and translate customer insights into clear problem statements and prioritized opportunities.
  • Build and activate a customer advisory board to establish an ongoing feedback channel with the ideal customer profile.
  • Validate strategic product assumptions through hands-on customer conversations and structured discovery.
  • Shape the now/next/later roadmap with the CEO and team, anchored to a clear product objective.
  • Build AI-powered product capabilities with an eye toward customer value, cost efficiency, and technical differentiation.
  • Use product data to generate insights while keeping customer privacy as a strict constraint.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, marketing, and customer success to turn insights into shipped features.
  • Track product performance and communicate progress through concise, data-informed updates.
  • Evaluate the competitive landscape and bring findings into roadmap decisions.
  • Establish a clear narrative of impact by explaining what problems were found, why they were prioritized, and what was shipped or tested.

Requirements

  • Experience running customer interviews, synthesizing findings, and testing assumptions before building.
  • Strong product judgment with the ability to prioritize clearly and say no to work that does not fit the strategy.
  • Understanding of AI product capabilities and limitations, with intentional thinking about customer value and cost efficiency.
  • Ability to work with engineers to analyze product data, even when the data infrastructure is not perfect.
  • Strong operational clarity, including writing concise one-pagers and stakeholder updates.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity, taking ownership, and getting started without a playbook.
  • Ability to partner closely with a CEO/CPO in a hands-on product role.
  • Open to an interim, contract-basis role rather than permanent employment.
  • Experience evaluating competitive landscapes is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a startup environment with shifting priorities is preferred.
