Description

  • Build full-stack applications, including backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and modern web front ends.
  • Develop quantitative models for fixed-income and structured product valuation, cash flow projections, scenario analysis, and portfolio risk decomposition.
  • Integrate third-party systems such as Geneva, market data vendors, CRM platforms, and administrative platforms.
  • Migrate legacy .NET/C# applications and SSRS reports to modern, scalable, cloud-deployed architectures.
  • Own data quality end to end, including ingestion, normalization, validation, lineage, governance, and controls.
  • Build reporting and BI deliverables, including Tableau dashboards, internal web tooling, investor reporting, and ad hoc DDQ responses.
  • Gather requirements from PMs, analysts, risk, investor relations, and operations, and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Write UAT plans, lead testing, and support production deployment and monitoring.
  • Use AI coding assistants as part of the development workflow while maintaining verification, security, and review standards.
  • Collaborate with the CIO, Business Technology, client solutions, portfolio managers, risk, operations, and investor relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a top-tier university in computer science, mathematics, physics, financial engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of customer-facing or business-critical systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in capital markets, ideally at a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, or financial technology vendor.
  • Direct exposure to fixed income, structured products, derivatives, private credit, or CLOs.
  • Demonstrated success delivering full-stack applications end to end, from requirements through production deployment and support.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one of Python, C#/.NET, or TypeScript/JavaScript, plus working competence in a second.
  • Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous services, and microservice patterns.
  • Modern JavaScript framework experience, such as React or Angular, plus responsive web design, HTML5/CSS, and cross-platform optimization.
  • Expert SQL skills, including window functions, query tuning, and set-based thinking; NoSQL/document store experience is a plus.
  • Comfort with NumPy/pandas or equivalent, basic statistics, fixed-income math, and cash flow modeling.
  • Experience with Git or TFS, CI/CD, DevOps, Confluence, and unit/integration testing frameworks.
  • Experience deploying and operating services on Azure or AWS is a plus.
  • Tableau dashboard development or SSRS experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of fixed-income securities, bank loans, and credit instruments.
  • Familiarity with private credit deal lifecycle, portfolio accounting concepts, and portfolio risk frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills, excellent communication, self-starter mindset, detail orientation, and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
