Description

  • Build highly reliable software solutions used by users across SpaceX.
  • Own the full software lifecycle, including development, testing, and support.
  • Act as a responsible engineer for software products.
  • Work directly with other SpaceX engineers to understand mission needs and translate them into software.
  • Improve quality control, new product introduction, product traceability, and reusability-related workflows.
  • Provide technical leadership and drive continuous improvement across applications.
  • Find faults in the application suite or ERP suite and implement fixes and improvements.
  • Track application and feature usage and recommend or implement enhancements.
  • Deep dive into user problems and develop efficient solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software-building experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 1+ years of full stack development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in web application development (preferred).
  • Experience as an architect with the ability to design and implement robust, scalable systems and flexible UI (preferred).
  • Expertise in C#, .NET, SQL, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and TypeScript (preferred).
  • Expertise in Python and PostgreSQL (preferred).
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, and continuous monitoring (preferred).
  • Experience scaling web applications and optimizing them for performance (preferred).
  • Experience developing software for manufacturing, production, or quality systems (preferred).
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

  • Pay range of $125,000-$145,000 per year for Software Engineer/Level I and $140,000-$175,000 per year for Software Engineer/Level II.
