Description

  • Define and guide technical direction for the engineering team.
  • Design, build, and scale the technology behind Pomelo Care’s virtual care platform.
  • Write high-quality code and ship high-impact features.
  • Architect complex, distributed systems that support personalized, data-driven care at scale.
  • Design and build AI-powered agents and internal tools that improve clinician efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and leadership to other engineers.
  • Partner with product and clinical leadership to shape technical strategy and identify high-impact opportunities.
  • Translate user needs and product specifications into robust technical solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience shipping high-quality, scalable software systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in system and relational database design.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
  • Experience guiding technical teams in building applications with modern front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js.
  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver elegant, maintainable solutions to complex problems.
  • Track record of identifying impactful business opportunities and raising team standards.
  • Passion for agentic tooling and staying current with tools that accelerate engineering delivery.
  • Prior experience in AI/ML, natural language processing, or agent-based systems (preferred).
  • Experience in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment (preferred).
