Description

  • Apply NLP, GenAI, and other AI/ML techniques to develop model systems and solutions for healthcare use cases.
  • Collaborate with product leaders, clinical informaticists, data scientists, designers, engineers, and domain experts to integrate advanced solutions into end-user experiences.
  • Design, build, and evaluate solutions using structured and unstructured data, including speech and natural language.
  • Perform research and experimentation to choose algorithms, evaluation methods, and frameworks for model development.
  • Oversee data collection, data cleaning, data analysis, feature selection, prompt tuning, parameter fine-tuning, training, and evaluation.
  • Develop responsible AI solutions at scale using existing tools or by creating new workflows as needed.
  • Mentor others on advanced AI, NLP, data science, statistical methods, and machine learning technologies.
  • Work independently with substantial ownership from day one while solving complex technical problems.
  • Work with customers and healthcare professionals to understand and address real-world needs.

Requirements

  • PhD or comparable experience in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4-10+ years of industry experience building solutions in commercial SaaS.
  • At least 4 years of experience applying NLP, Search, or AI/ML technologies in healthcare.
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with NLP, including fine-tuning LLMs and Transformer models.
  • Experience leading research and experimentation, including algorithm selection, evaluation methods, feature selection, language modeling, and model training/fine-tuning.
  • Significant experience building and deploying AI/ML and NLP models for large-scale SaaS products.
  • Familiarity with software development concepts such as scaling, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and security.
  • Strong understanding of multiple ML methods, including logistic regression, random forest, ensemble methods, SVM, KNN, and reinforcement learning.
  • Proficiency in Python and Java required; JavaScript or TypeScript and modern UI frameworks are desired.
  • Proficiency with SQL and data engineering for ML/NLP applications.
  • Experience with big-data tools such as Azure Data Lake, Apache Spark, or other cluster/MapReduce frameworks.
  • Experience using public cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with modern ML/NLP libraries and stacks such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Keras, LightGBM, fastText, NLTK, and spaCy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels and functions.
  • Comfort working on a distributed team and with external stakeholders.
