Description

Architect and evolve the Android automation framework for a growing portfolio of security products.
Design testing strategies for VPN-specific scenarios, including network-dependent flows and unstable connection states.
Work closely with developers and other QAs to troubleshoot issues and produce detailed bug reports.
Uphold QA best practices and contribute to overall QA strategy.
Explore and adopt new testing tools and methodologies to improve the QA process.
Maintain and scale UI test suites across multiple Android applications as needed.
Support pipeline and test execution automation for faster, more reliable validation.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience automating UI tests for Android apps written in Kotlin.
Strong hands-on experience with Espresso and Kakao-Cup.
Ability to test screens built with Jetpack Compose and classic XML.
Experience with Robolectric and Mockito for test infrastructure and mocking dependencies.
Comfort building and maintaining pipelines in CircleCI and using Bash/sh scripting.
Experience sharding and parallelizing tests with Flank.
Experience configuring device matrices within Firebase Test Lab or similar emulators.
Understanding of testing challenges in VPN apps, including network-dependent flows and connection-state flakiness.
At least upper-intermediate spoken and written English.
Preferred: experience maintaining UI test suites across multiple apps in mono- and multi-repo setups.
Preferred: comfort with ADB, log analysis, and the Android build process via Gradle (Kotlin DSL).
Preferred: experience testing A/B frameworks, including feature-flagged flows and variant-dependent UI.
Preferred: familiarity with Google Play Billing integrations, including subscriptions, purchase flows, and edge cases.
