Description

  • Architect and evolve the Android automation framework for a growing portfolio of security products.
  • Design testing strategies for VPN-specific scenarios, including network-dependent flows and unstable connection states.
  • Work closely with developers and other QAs to troubleshoot issues and produce detailed bug reports.
  • Uphold QA best practices and contribute to overall QA strategy.
  • Explore and adopt new testing tools and methodologies to improve the QA process.
  • Maintain and scale UI test suites across multiple Android applications as needed.
  • Support pipeline and test execution automation for faster, more reliable validation.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience automating UI tests for Android apps written in Kotlin.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Espresso and Kakao-Cup.
  • Ability to test screens built with Jetpack Compose and classic XML.
  • Experience with Robolectric and Mockito for test infrastructure and mocking dependencies.
  • Comfort building and maintaining pipelines in CircleCI and using Bash/sh scripting.
  • Experience sharding and parallelizing tests with Flank.
  • Experience configuring device matrices within Firebase Test Lab or similar emulators.
  • Understanding of testing challenges in VPN apps, including network-dependent flows and connection-state flakiness.
  • At least upper-intermediate spoken and written English.
  • Preferred: experience maintaining UI test suites across multiple apps in mono- and multi-repo setups.
  • Preferred: comfort with ADB, log analysis, and the Android build process via Gradle (Kotlin DSL).
  • Preferred: experience testing A/B frameworks, including feature-flagged flows and variant-dependent UI.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Google Play Billing integrations, including subscriptions, purchase flows, and edge cases.
