Description

  • Architect and evolve the Android automation framework for a growing portfolio of security products.
  • Design testing strategies for VPN-specific workflows, including unstable or switching network conditions.
  • Collaborate with developers and other QAs to troubleshoot issues and produce detailed bug reports.
  • Uphold QA best practices and help drive the overall QA strategy.
  • Explore and adopt new testing tools and methodologies to improve the QA process.
  • Build and maintain automation pipelines and test execution workflows.
  • Shard and parallelize automated tests across device matrices and emulator environments.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience automating UI tests for Android apps written in Kotlin.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Espresso and Kakao-Cup.
  • Ability to test screens built with Jetpack Compose and classic XML.
  • Experience with Robolectric and Mockito for test infrastructure and mocking.
  • Experience building and maintaining pipelines in CircleCI.
  • Experience using Bash/sh scripting for automation and result processing.
  • Experience sharding and parallelizing tests using Flank.
  • Experience configuring device matrices in Firebase Test Lab or similar emulators.
  • Understanding of testing challenges for VPN apps, including network-dependent flows and connection-state flakiness.
  • At least upper-intermediate spoken and written English.
  • Preferred: Experience maintaining UI test suites across multiple apps in mono- and multi-repo setups.
  • Preferred: Comfort with ADB, log analysis, and Android build processes via Gradle (Kotlin DSL).
  • Preferred: Experience testing A/B frameworks, feature-flagged flows, and variant-dependent UI.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with testing Google Play Billing integrations, including subscriptions and purchase edge cases.
