Description

  • Collaborate closely with Creative Directors to maintain a cohesive creative vision for the game.
  • Partner with the art team to uphold and contribute to the game’s creative direction.
  • Guide the project’s visual look and elevate other artists’ work to maintain craft quality.
  • Translate early art explorations into a cohesive visual guide for the team.
  • Develop art team milestones with clear direction and sustainable scoping.
  • Lead and manage external art contractors.
  • Mentor, support, and directly manage art team members.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in an Art Director role.
  • At least one shipped title as an Art Director.
  • Experience with game engine implementation.
  • Experience leading, empowering, and collaborating with an art team through multiple phases of a large-scale, high-quality game project.
  • Proven ability to deliver clear and consistent visual feedback that improves other artists’ work.
  • Passion for or interest in stylized real-time visuals.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and solve problems with strong follow-through.
  • Strong familiarity with the competitive gaming landscape.
  • Familiarity with development in Unreal Engine (preferred).
  • Experience working on a live game or games-as-a-service title (preferred).

  • Base pay range of $208,000 to $312,000 USD for the Seattle area, with variation by geographic location.
